About

Have you ever wanted to obtain a goal, accomplish something, make a difference, however big or small? But not go over the top. I’m not talking about becoming the next superhero, the next Obama, or even the next altruistic prodigy to have developed some sort of improved Third World country irrigation pump. No, that’s not what I mean.

What I mean is a goal contrived for kicks. For shits and giggles, if you will. But not one completely devoid of substance or meaning. A goal created for yourself and for the potential interest and curiosity of others. A goal that could be impossible, but not completely infeasible. A goal intended to be an ode to your self-proving feats. None of that bullshit service for humanity stuff, as cynical as that may sound. Though, I’m not an opponent of service myself. But for once, why not a goal devoted to you?

What is my goal? Since kindergarten, I’ve been trying to meet one person from every country in the world and to record my cultural encounters with each one. Definition of  ”every country in the world”?…More technically…every independent state in the world as recognized by the Bureau of Intelligence and Research of the United States of America. There are 194 of them.

Should be a fun time.

Forgive me in advance if my entries are not very chronological in terms of when I meet people. Often times, I must wait for the receipt of a picture from the contact.
